Be as it may: Courtney Love hasn't been seen in the best of light lately but if there's one thing among others I'm sure for which we can all feel eternally grateful, without Courtney we may have never known designer Oliver Theyskens, have never smiled as friends Colin Firth and Julianne Moore boogie to the sound of Green Onions Booker T & The MGS in A Single Man. Madonna mightn't be the style icon she is today and Lenny Kravitz mightn't have the same rock-n-rolle repertoire.
I would also be one less hero.
Enter Arianne Phillips. Introduced to Madonna by Courtney after which she became the maverick’s personal stylist for four successive tours. Although Madonna's directional debut and film W.E remain relatively un-reviewed, critics can all agree the styling by Arianne featuring delicate 1930's style tea party dresses and Art Deco style jewellery is impeccable Below are my favourite shoots from my beloved Arianne. Ambiguous, provocative and an interesting mix of high and low.
