8. True Love Tour

I love the big knuckleduster style rings; Pamela Love and Yves Saint Laurent’s arty gold-plated glass ring so when my editors invited me to celebrate the launch of Tiffany and Co.’s new website and iPhone application, ‘What Makes True Love’ and I’m presented with Tiffany & Co.’s Oval Diamond Ring, my first question was, ‘Do you have anything bigger?’

Mind the four carats wasn’t lost on me. Much as I enjoy statement style jewellery, for each birthday or special occasion I still turn to Tiffany’s collecting baubles and turquoise blue boxes the same way one collects coffee stamps, knowing one day I will redeem the grand prize of one platinum diamond ring! That act alone may be some time away but with a history just a few decades shy of 200 years my guess is that Tiffany & Co will still be standing on George Street to see that day come.

This evenings party complete with smartly dressed waiters, smiling attendants and guests loosing themselves amongst the pretty jewels is proof that Tiffany & Co isn’t going anywhere soon. In a world where we’ve all gone viral, there new website and iPhone application is befitting of the times. I’ve already used the google based map ‘Love is Everywhere’ to lay claim to the piece of Sydney real-estate that romantically mean’s something to me and I can’t wait to read Tiffany & Co.’s sage advice on ‘When Love Get’s Serious’ over coffee and chocolate croissants sometime over the weekend.

In the same way I keep a curated wardrobe, my iPhone applications are a stable of quality well thought out pieces and with Tiffany & Co.’s new iPhone application I look forward to never being short of ideas, inspiration and romance in all matters of the heart.
